Join us on Saturday, January 3rd for an auspicious start to the New Year by invoking Sri Ganesh and having community and New Year’s meditations and kirtan together. Presented every year by Uma Reed.

Uma writes: Ganesh, the sweet-tempered elephant-headed deity of Hinduism is praised as the remover of obstacles and bestower of success, and is traditionally called upon at the start of any new undertaking. Come offer your prayers as we celebrate the New Year with songs invoking Ganesh through kirtan, Vedic chant, a prayer ritual and flower ceremony, and Arati!
This year I’ll be joined by Mirabai and Acharya Mangalananda, and my sons Matt and Jay. Gangadhar will be on tabla, and his wife Rhonda will join us on tamboura.
